Hair care

Care for your crown.

Raw hair rewards gentle care. With a few good habits, your unit keeps its movement and shine for the long run.

The essentials

The ritual.

Four everyday habits that protect your unit between wash days.

  1. 1

    Detangle gently

Work from the ends up with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Never rip through a knot.

  2. 2

    Keep it moisturized

Raw hair thrives on moisture. Moisturizing products keep it soft, shiny and easy to manage.

  3. 3

    Go easy on heat

Minimize excessive heat. Air-dry when you can, and keep styling tools on a moderate setting.

  4. 4

    Protect, then style

Apply a heat protectant every time before curling, flat-ironing or blow-drying.

01Washing
  • Wash when product builds up or the hair feels heavy, not after every wear.
  • Use lukewarm water and a sulfate-free shampoo. Smooth it downward from root to tip; don't scrub, twist or bunch the hair.
  • Condition from mid-lengths to ends. Keep conditioner off the lace and knots at the base.
  • Rinse in the direction the hair falls, until the water runs clear.
02Drying
  • Press water out with a microfiber towel. Never wring or rub.
  • Let it air-dry on a wig stand, away from direct heat and sunlight.
  • Don't wear or store the unit while it's still damp.
03Detangling
  • Detangle when the hair is damp and has a little leave‑in conditioner in it.
  • Start at the ends and work up in small sections, using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.
  • Hold the hair above a knot as you comb, so you're not pulling on the cap.
04Heat styling
  • Apply a heat protectant every time, before curling, flat-ironing or blow-drying.
  • Use a moderate temperature rather than the highest setting.
  • Give the hair heat-free days between styling sessions.
05Storing
  • Keep the unit on a wig stand or in a satin or silk bag, so it holds its shape.
  • Store it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
  • Loosely brush it out before putting it away so tangles don't set.
06Sleeping
  • Take the unit off before bed when you can.
  • If you sleep in it, wrap the hair in a satin scarf or bonnet, or use a satin pillowcase.

Care by texture

Every texture, its own way.

Straight texture

Straight

  • Smooth with a paddle brush once dry to keep the shine.
  • A light serum on the ends tames flyaways without weighing hair down.
  • If you flat-iron, use low to moderate heat over small sections.

Burmese Curl texture

Burmese Curl

  • Never brush curls dry. Detangle wet, with conditioner, using your fingers.
  • Refresh day‑old curls with a mist of water and a little leave‑in, then scrunch.
  • Let curls dry undisturbed so they keep their definition.

Natural Wavy texture

Natural Wavy

  • Scrunch in a light leave‑in while damp to bring the waves back.
  • Air-drying keeps the wave pattern; a diffuser on low heat speeds it up.
  • Use a wide-tooth comb rather than a brush to avoid frizz.
